Anne Hathaway Shares Condolences For Aurora Massacre Victims
After the tragic shooting in Aurora, Anne Hathaway has released a statement sharing her thoughts and prayers towards the victims in the midnight movie massacre.
The 29-year-old actress, who plays Selina Kyle (Catwoman) in "The Dark Knight Rises", recently expressed her upset to Entertainment Tonight stating, "My heart aches and breaks for the lives taken and altered by this unfathomably senseless act, I am at a loss for words how to express my sorrow. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families."
The brunette beauty's statement comes just a day after her co-star Christian Bale released words of his own, which read, "Words cannot express the horror that I feel. I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them."
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the statments were released after alleged gunman James Holmes shot and killed 12 victims in the Century Aurora Theater on Friday night (July 20).
In light of the tragedy, production companies including Warner Bros. decided to withhold its box office sale reports from the past weekend in respect to the victims.
Due to the horrific situation, the official ticket sale statistics will not be released until Monday (July 23). However, according to Gossip Cop, "The Dark Knight Rises" has apparently earned an approximate $160 million toppling over its competition "Ice Age 4," which took the number two spot with $20 million.
