Christian Bale Pays a Visit to Aurora Shooting Victims
Injured victims in the horrendous movie theater massacre got an unexpected surprise when Christian Bale paid a visit to the hospital this afternoon (July 24).
“The Dark Knight Rises” front man arrived at the Medical Center of Aurora in Colorado at 2 p.m. on Tuesday and one of the victims, Carey Rottman, posted a photo with the star on Facebook writing, “Batman!!”
The "Batman Begins" actor and his wife Sandra Blazic paid a visit to the memorial across from Century Theater in Aurora to pay his respects.
An assistant for Susan Fleishman, executive vice president for Warner Brothers mentioned to the Denver Post that, “Mr. Bale is there as himself, not representing Warner Brothers.”
Last Friday (July 20), James Holmes killed 12 people and wounded dozens more when he opened fire on a packed midnight showing of the latest Batman film.
The 38-year-old actor released a statement on Saturday that read, “"Words cannot express the horror that I feel. I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them."
