British Comedy Show Under Fire after Prince Harry Joke
Taking their jokes a step too far, Britain’s Fresh Meat comedy show is under fire after including Prince Harry in an off-color joke.
During Monday’s (November 4) broadcast on Channel 4, one character said, “'I’ll take you to a place on the King's Road where Prince Harry got a hand j–– off an assistant manager at Abercrombie & Fitch."
After the conversation aired, Conservative MP Andew Rosindell told The Telegraph, "The media should not involve the royal family in this sort of thing. It's inappropriate and degrading, and it demeans the broadcasters that engage in it. It's just wrong."
The comedy show defended its act and said that the show is a "very irreverent comedy drama" and that the character was simply "attempting to impress his fellow students by ironically boasting about his own privilege."
What are your thoughts? Did the joke go too far?
