Kate Winslet: Furious at Fathers' Rights Org for Using her in Christmas Ad Campaign
Dampening a bit of her Christmas spirit, Kate Winslet is fighting back against a fathers' rights group that is reportedly using a quote of hers in a new ad campaign.
In a past interview with Vogue, the mother of three children from three different relationships shared, "My kids don't go back and forth; none of this 50/50 time with the mums and dads - my children live with me; that is it."
Not happy with her view, Fathers4Justice plans to run an ad with a photo of the "Titanic" star and the words, "Kate, every child deserves a father this Christmas."
Reports say the 38-year-old actress and ex-husband Sam Mendes both tried to put the kibosh on the ad, but the organization says, "We are running this advert as part of a campaign to highlight the sensitive issue of four million children waking up on Christmas Day without their father. It is clear from what Kate says that she does not support 'shared parenting.'"
