With Phil Robertson's controversial comments regarding homosexuality and racism grabbing headlines, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert took aim at the "Duck Dynasty" star during their shows on Thursday (December 19).

On "The Daily Show," Stewart decided to weigh in on the A&E star's opinions that lead to his suspension from the network.

"As a student of history, one of the things we've learned is that the mightiest dynasties eventually crumble," Jon explained. "I think what the guy said is ignorant, but I also have an inclination to support a world where saying ignoring sh** on television doesn't get you kicked off that medium."

He continued, "I guess I stand with the free speech absolutists at Fox News, who don't believe you should pressure people to have to adhere to cultural norms of speech.”

Meanwhile, Colbert, who donned a long beard, jokingly stated, "This is a terrible day for Americans although admittedly a great day for ducks. With this controversy, they may have just lost 'Duck Dynasty's' massive black and gay audience."

"I'll admit it's not the eloquent speech you'd expect from a backwoods Louisiana duck murderer," he then added.

What are your thoughts on Phil’s comments in GQ magazine?
