As 2013 rolled in to 2014, celebrities sure stayed busy! Here is a look at what caught our attention this week at GossipCenter.
Kaley Cuoco & Ryan Sweeting Tie the Knot!: Ready to start the New Year as a married woman, Kaley Cuoco tied the knot with her honey Ryan Sweeting in a New Year's Eve ceremony. The "Big Bang Theory" beauty shared pictures of the big day (and her pink wedding dress) via Instagram, including one captioned “Yep:) #thesweetings @ryansweething.”
Olivia Palermo is Engaged!: Throwing in a big surprise during their holiday get away, Olivia Palermo's beau Johannes Huebel proposed to the "City" star. After she accepted, the German hunk posted a video of the proposal on Instagram captioning it,“Happy New Year to everybody and this is how we celebrated it: OP said YES.”
Beyonce Stirs Up Controversy: Finding inspiration in an odd place, Beyonce came under fire for including audio from the 1986 space shuttle Challenger accident. In her tune "XO," the voice of NASA public affairs Officer Steve Nesbitt can be heard saying, "Flight controllers here looking very carefully at the situation. Obviously a major malfunction." In response, Queen B issued a statement which read, in part,"The song 'XO' was recorded with the sincerest intention to help heal those who have lost loved ones and to remind us that unexpected things happen, so love and appreciate every minute that you have with those who mean the most to you."
Ke$ha Enters Treatment: Wanting to work on herself so she can help others, Ke$ha entered rehab for an eating disorder. The "Dirty Love" songstress said in a statement, "I’m a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I’ve found it hard to practice. I’ll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder … to learn to love myself again, exactly as I am."
Fate of Paul Walker's "Fast and Furious" Character Revealed: With his tragic death late last year casting a pall on the production of "Fast & Furious 7, Universal has said they will honor Paul Walker's final big screen performance by retiring, and not killing his character, Brian O'Conner. The thriller's release date has been pushed back to April 10th, 2015.
