Shia LaBeouf and Lena Dunham Exchange Barbs on Twitter
Responding to his plagiarizing of artist Daniel Clowes with his directed short film "HowardCantour.com," the "Transformers" star begged for forgiveness via social media.
Commenting on his bizarre decision to hire a skywriter to display a message to the artist, the "Girls" creator wrote, "I've always felt, utterly and unchangeably, that only sociopaths hire skywriters."
In response, the 27-year-old actor took an old interview quote from her and posted it to Twitter, reading, "I don't mind creating debate with thoroughly considered artistic expressions but I don't want to offend with a tweet. Sorry world."
Continuing the dialogue, Lena tweeted, "Vaguely recognized Shia Labeouf's latest twitter apology and realized it was MINE! Touché, Louis Stevens," followed by, "Projecting a lot of rage against my 7th grade boyfriend on LaBeouf. Think this is the start of something really productive #2014."
However, it seems the reparté may be concluded as Shia wrote on Sunday (January 5), "Gonna hop off Twitter for awhile. Enjoy the sunshine, breathe the air. Hope no one was offended."
