Ke$ha's Mom Refutes Alcholism Rumors
Fiercely defending her daughter as most moms would, Ke$ha's mother spoke about about the alcoholism rumors surrounding her little girl.
In an interview with Celebuzz, Pebe Sebert insisted, "That's a total lie. The place she's at is an eating disorder center. When they say 'people close to her' I will tell you I travel with her everywhere, her little brother, her assistant, makeup artist, talk to anyone."
Though the glitter aficionado isn't shy about enjoying the sauce, her mom explains, "She might be crazy and she might get sh*t-faced drunk, but everyone does. She might have a few drinks here and there. But she doesn't have a drinking problem."
According to Ms. Sebert, a recovering alcoholic herself, the "Die Young" singer's issues began at age 18 after signing with her record company. "She was dieting and she became bulimic. I remember over a period of a few months she got really skinny and she said she was running Runyon Canyon [in L.A.] and just eating well. The truth is she was throwing up. I didn't know until much later because she said she would quit."
However, there's good news as she adds that Ke$ha is "doing well," noting, "This is going to be really hard for her. It's been a part of her life for so long."
