Lady Gaga Fights to Keep Ex-Boyfriend Settlement Sealed
Her meteoric rise to fame wasn’t without its share of drama, and Lady Gaga is trying her best to avoid disclosing the details of her settlement with ex-boyfriend Rob Fusari.
On January 6th, the “Just Dance” singer (real name Stefani Germanotta) filed a motion to re-seal portions of her court proceedings from back in September 2010 when she settled Fusari’s $30.5 million lawsuit out of court.
The motion was in response to yet another lawsuit, this time filed by Wendy Starland, that may threaten to have the 2010 documents read in open court.
Gaga’s attorney Sandra A. Crenshaw-Sparks told press, “In 2010, Germanotta entered into a confidential settlement agreement with Rob Fusari and Rob Fusari Productions, resolving certain disputes, unrelated to the instant action, that had arisen between them. These documents include highly sensitive financial information that could inflict significant professional and competitive harm upon Germanotta if disclosed.”
