He was pumped to bring a massive rock performance to the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, so when producers cut Trent Reznor's all-star jam short, he was less than pleased.

After the gig, the Nine Inch Nails frontman took to Twitter to share his thoughts- “Music's biggest night... to be disrespected. A heartfelt F**K YOU guys.”

Reznor had assembled a killer team of musicians including Queens of the Stone Age, Dave Grohl and Lindsey Buckingham, making it all the more insulting that their moment was truncated.

Grammy executive producer Ken Ehrlich later apologized to Reznor & Co., explaining, "I'm sorry he was upset. I was really thrilled that we were finally getting him on the Grammys. The final jam started with Arcade Fire a few years ago, and LL Cool J last year. I want to end on a high note. I did tell them we'd take as long as we could. The number was about five, six minutes long, and we got to him within a minute 20 [seconds] of the end. We got as close as we could possibly get."

Neil Portnow of the Recording Academy added, "We save the end slot for something that is a bit of a jam. Because you can have the energy go and then it's just a matter of the clock."
