They made headlines for encouraging their Twitter followers to boycott certain magazines that expose celebrities' children, and now Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard explain their stance.

During an interview with TODAY, the "Frozen" beauty and her "Parenthood" hubby stated that while they understand the price of being famous, they also believe their daughter, Lincoln, shouldn't suffer for it.

"It's all how the child is affected. That's the bottom line," Miss Bell explained. "We had always had an agreement that when this little thing came into the world, all bets were off, no pictures would happen. We now have a duty as parents to protect this little one."

Dax chimed in and said, "We are not asking you to boycott magazines that we are in. We are asking you to boycott the magazine where people haven't made that choice."

"You see a lot of paparazzi blackmailing celebrities, saying if you pose for the few pictures we'll leave you alone for the rest of the day. And I just don't think that that's the best option that we have in this world," he added.
