Getting an early start on his Tuesday, Matt Damon showed up at “Good Morning America” in New York City this morning (February 4).

The “Ocean’s Eleven” hunk talked about everything from the tragic death of Philip Seymour Hoffman to his forthcoming flick “The Monuments Men,” slated to hit theaters February 7th.

Of his family’s move from the East Coast to Los Angeles, Matt noted, “We’re still adjusting to it. I tried to make the most of LA so I went and got a mountain bike and I started mountain biking and I immediately broke my collar bone, so I’ve been laid up. But we miss New York. We’ll be back someday, I know.”

Desperate for a seat at the anchor table, Damon also tied up host George Stephanopoulos and hid him backstage!
