Box Office: "The Lego Movie" Builds a Winning Weekend

Blowing away the nearest competition, "The Lego Movie" took the top spot at the box office for February 7-9, 2014.

Voiced by stars such as Will Arnett and Elizabeth Banks, the animated adventure comedy took in $17 million on Friday and captured a three day grand total of between $68 and 70 million.

Another newcomer, George Clooney's "The Monuments Men," garnered a second place finish, as it nabbed $7 million on Friday and took in $23 million for the weekend.

Rounding out the top five in earmarked earnings are the action comedy "Ride Along" ($9.5 million) in third, Disney's animated blockbuster "Frozen" ($7 million) in fourth, and "Lone Survivor" ($5.6 million) in fifth.
