Hailee Steinfeld in Malibu February/March 2014: I'm OK Not Having A Normal Teenager Life
With her new action-packed flick "3 Days to Kill" set to hit theaters February 21st, Hailee Steinfeld garnered herself a little added exposure by covering the February/March 2014 issue of Malibu magazine.
While striking a few poses for the Jake Chessum-spread, the "Ender's Game" beauty opened up about everything from getting her start to revealing what life is like away from cameras.
"It was probably funny because I was trying to be serious," Miss Steinfeld explained about her first audition. "I was imitating a lot of what I saw on T.V. I'd watch these actors do things, and it seemed so easy: I was like, 'I can do that, too.' I was such a little parrot."
She continued, "Sometimes I'd try to write songs, and they were just... they weren't good. I thought songs had to rhyme, so I was coming up with these terrible rhymes. Just a bunch of random stuff."
In regards to not so normal life, Hailee revealed, "I feel OK about it I mean, I don't feel like I've missed too much. I'm working with people my age, and I've got all of my friends that I keep in touch with when I'm on the road. I'm living my life as a teenager, so that's my teenage life."
