“Modern Family” Cast Arrives in Australia!
Taking their hit show on the road, the stars of “Modern Family” flew in to Sydney International Airport in Sydney, Australia on Tuesday (February 18).
Joined by her fiancé Nick Loeb, Sofia Vergara was in good spirits as she greeted the fans that gathered to welcome her while Sarah Hyland (with boyfriend Matt Prokop), Ed O’Neill, Rico Rodriguez, Nolan Gould, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson all looked to be enjoying the local sights.
Co-creator/producer Steven Levitan, who will direct the vacation episode, explained that they’ll definitely hit up tourist destinations like the Great Barrier Reef.
“We just had to go to Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef since, like Sofia Vergara, it's one of the natural wonders of the world.”
And Queensland Arts Minister Ian Walker couldn’t be happier to have the whole gang in his neighborhood. “Modern Family is a hugely popular show and it’s very exciting for our tourism industry to know that places like the Great Barrier Reef and Hayman Island will be seen by millions of people right round the world.”
“This coup is a testament to the Government’s commitment to creating local jobs and promoting our screen and tourism industries to the world."
