It's been a fun and interesting night, and when the winner for British Male Solo Artist was announced, the 2014 BRIT Awards crowd got a special surprise.

The trophy went to David Bowie but he couldn't make it to the O2 Arena this evening (February 19), so he had pal Kate Moss accept the award on his behalf.

The supermodel took to the stage and read off a speech written by the iconic singer. Kate read, "I’m completely delighted… I think it’s a great way to end the day. Thank you very very much and Scotland, stay with us."

Other winners this evening include Lorde scoring a win for Best International Female Solo Artist and Ellie Goulding taking home the prize for British Female Solo Artist.
