First Lady Michelle Obama Checks Out Premiere of “The Trip to Bountiful”
Making the most of Black History Month, First Lady Michelle Obama attended a star-studded premiere for the forthcoming Lifetime Television movie “The Trip to Bountiful” on Monday night (February 24).
Joined by stars like Cicely Tyson, Blair Underwood, Keke Palmer and Vanessa Williams, Mrs. Obama looked lovely as she addressed the audience at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in Washington DC.
During the course of her remarks, the First Lady explained that Black History Month is about honoring “those who demanded more from the world around them and those who reached for higher standards through their life’s work.”
“The Trip to Bountiful” is slated to premiere on the Lifetime Television network on March 8th and has received positive reviews thus far.
