Lupita Nyong’o Wins First Oscar, Gets Teary-Eyed During Acceptance Speech
She's had an incredibly successful awards season, and now Lupita Nyong'o can add an Oscar statue to her mantel.
Earlier tonight (March 2), the "12 Years a Slave" beauty took home the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Tearing up during her speech, Lupita thanked her co-star Chiwetel Ejiofor and the entire cast and crew for their amazing work on the film and for all those that experienced the true-life events that inspired that story.
Congrats to the actress on her first win!
