Frank Ocean Changes His Name; Sued By Chipotle over Advertsiment
Making some big changes in his life, Frank Ocean, whose real name is Christopher Edwin Breaux, has filed legal documents to officially change his name to Frank Ocean!
In related news, the 26-year-old rapper has just been sued the for backing out of an ad sponsoring Chipotle Mexican Grill.
The lawsuit, which was filed on Friday (March 7), claims that Chipotle signed Frank to a $425,000 contract, singing a new rendition of "Pure Imagination" for an animated advertisement.
However, the restaurant claims that Frank never finished his track, because he was reportedly angry that Chipotle's logo appeared at the end of the clip.
Frank's representatives sent the company an email stating that the "Pyramids" singer thought he was promised the final word over both the recording and the promotional materials, believing Chipotle was in breach of contract.
According to TMZ, Chipotle has decided to sue the rapper for the $212,500 advance they paid him. Fiona Apple ended up taking over the project from Frank.
