"American Idol" Slims Down Broadcast
Its ratings are suffering even after bringing on All Star judges, and "American Idol" is finding ways to boost its audience with a different broadcast approach.
On Monday (May 12), Fox executive Kevin Reilly announced that the singing competition is making a comeback for its 14th season with a different "streamlined" approach.
After its typical two-night model during the always entertaining audition phase, "Idol" is dropping its broadcast down to a single night for the weeks of its competition.
