Neil Patrick Harris Announces End Date for “Hedwig and the Angry Inch”
He’s enjoyed great success in his lead role in the Broadway production of “Hedwig and the Angry Inch,” but Neil Patrick Harris is ready to give someone else a shot at the gig.
The “Doogie Howser MD” hunk will give his final performance on August 17th and will be replaced by “Girls” guest star Andrew Rannells.
During his Tony Awards acceptance speech, Neil hinted that he was eyeing an end date for his run.
Harris declared, "To my family, David, I love you so much and I am so happy that we've gotten to do this, thank you for your sacrifices and thank you for putting up with me in all of this. To kids, Harper and Gideon, I am so sorry that I haven't been able to spend as much time with you given the show. But I promise when this is done I will be able to read to you and put you to sleep. That's coming up soon."
