Kate Middleton Learns of Grandmother’s Wartime Code-Breaking Work at Bletchley Park
She’s always up for a Royal visit, and Kate Middleton showed up at Bletchley Park in Buckinghamshire, England on Wednesday morning (June 18).
The Duchess of Cambridge smiled brightly while greeting her hosts, sporting a lovely black and white getup for the day’s events.
While touring Bletchley Park, Kate was informed of her grandmother Valerie Glassborow’s role as a “Duty Officer,” which included code-breaking and teaching spy classes.
In fact, Ms. Glassborow’s work during WWII is credited with helping the Brits end things two years earlier than it would have gone otherwise.
