After her arrest for domestic violence, Hope Solo appeared in court on Monday (June 23) and plead not guilty.

The soccer star was taken into custody on Saturday (June 21) after allegedly brawling with her sister and 17-year-old nephew. The Seattle Times reports the fight left Solo’s family with “visible injuries.”

After Hope's court appearance, she was released without bail but ordered to stay away from the alleged victims and restrain from drinking alcoholic beverages.

Solo’s lawyer Todd Maybrown stated, "Hope is not guilty of any crime. In fact, our investigation reveals that Hope was assaulted and injured during this unfortunate incident. We look forward to the opportunity to present the true facts in court and to having this matter behind Hope very soon."

Hope's club soccer team also tweeted about the incident, and said, "We are aware of the situation with Hope and are now gathering information."

This is not the first time the two-time Olympic medalist faced an assault case. In 2012, her now-husband Jerramy Stevens was arrested the night before their wedding for allegedly attacking Hope.
