She’s seen a lot of celebrity drama over the years, and thankfully Nicole Richie has managed to remain unscathed for the most part.

On Tuesday night (July 8), the “Simple Life” lady showed up at “Watch What Happens Live” to plug her new VH1 series “Candidly Nicole.”

And of course, Nicole dished on the new romance between Benji Madden and Cameron Diaz. "I approve of anything that's going to make Benji happy. I am a devoted sister-in-law. I'm happy for anyone who is happy, and I want everyone to be surrounded with love."

When host Andy Cohen asked if she set them up, Nicole blurted out, “Yes! I’m going to take responsibility for everything!”

As for the state of her friendship with Paris Hilton, Richie noted, "Paris is somebody that's been in my life since day one. I haven't spoken to her in a while technically, but if you really want to get into it, my view of a friendship is somebody that you don't necessarily have to talk to every day, somebody that you can call when you need them and they're just going to be there. Time of whether I've spoken to somebody is doesn't really matter, in my opinion. An idea of a true friend is somebody that's going to be there with you through and through.”

“The short answer is I haven't spoken to her in awhile, but we are very good friends and I love her and love her family and have a lot of respect for her."

Richie continued, "The Simple Life was the most fun time of my life. I was 20 and I had a television network, which was Fox, come up to me and say, 'Do you wanna take a trip for 28 days and get paid for it?' I was like, 'Okay!' It was great. It was like backpacking. It was with your best friend and you got paid for it and it was fun. It was so much fun! Every step along my life has brought me to where I am today."

However, things aren’t as amicable between Nicole and Lindsay Lohan- “I haven’t spoken to her in awhile.”
