Sammi Kane Kraft Passes Away in Los Angeles
She was the much-loved baseball player who starred in the 2005 remake of “Bad News Bears,” and sadly Sammi Kane Kraft died in a car accident.
According to a report, the 20-year-old athlete was seated in the passenger seat of her friend Molly Kate Adams’ Audi when the collision occurred.
“Traveling at a high rate of speed,” the car slammed into the back of a big rig and was subsequently hit by another car.
Adams survived the accident and has been arrested for felony drunk driving. Kraft was pronounced dead on arrival at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Of her role in “Bad News Bears,” Sammi told press, “I could never fill Tatum O’Neal’s shoes, but I tried to make the role my own.”
