She’s always been eager for the stage, and last night (November 1) Kelly Clarkson satisfied her penchant for performing during the 46th Annual CMA Awards.

The “Since You’ve Been Gone” songstress treated the Bridgestone Arena audience and viewers at home to a rendition of the song "Don’t Rush" while joined in the stirring effort by country legend Vince Gill.

Clearly elated over the honor of partnering up with the 55-year-old Country Hall of Famer, 30-year-old Clarkson tweeted after the gig, "I JUST PERFORMED WITH VINCE GILL!!!!! I love you Vince!! Thank you everybody for all your sweet comments!"

Aside from singing her heart out, Kelly just so happened to be a first-time nominee at the Nashville spectacle - as she received a bid in the Female Vocalist of the Year category. Not meant to be this time around, the trophy ended up going to Miranda Lambert.
