Marion Cotillard Charms at "Rust and Bone" AFI Fest Screening
Stepping out to show off her latest work, Marion Cotillard made a stunning arrival at the official screening of “Rust and Bone” in Hollywood, CA on Monday (November 5).
The 37-year-old French-born actress looked gorgeous as she posed for photographs and made her way down the media line at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, before heading in for the main event.
In the upcoming Jacques Audiard-directed drama, Marion plays a whale trainer who loses both of her legs during a tragic accident.
Talking with Harpers Bazaar about preparing for the role, Cotillard said, "Well, I mean, I love my job, but I'm not going to cut my legs off. Stéphanie loses her legs. It's a shock. If she'd been without them for years, I would have worked differently. But I had to learn with her how it felt - that loss. How it changes her."
Set to hit the St. Louis International Film Festival later this month, “Rust and Bone” is officially described as follows: “Put in charge of his young son, Ali leaves Belgium for Antibes to live with his sister and her husband as a family. Ali's bond with Stephanie, a killer whale trainer, grows deeper after Stephanie suffers a horrible accident.”
