Jennifer Lawrence Screens “Silver Linings Playbook” in NYC
Ending out her weekend with some promotional duties, Jennifer Lawrence showed up at the New York City premiere of her new film “Silver Linings Playbook” last night (November 11).
The “Hunger Games Hottie” looked darling in a black getup with her dark brown tresses as she posed with director David O. Russell outside Florence Gould Hall.
Due out November 21st, “Silver Linings Playbook” is about former teacher Pat Solitano who, after a stint in a mental institution, moves back in with his parents and tries to reconcile with his ex-wife. Things get more challenging when Pat meets Tiffany, a mysterious girl with problems of her own.
Meanwhile, Jennifer recently lamented the way women are viewed in Tinseltown- “In Hollywood, I’m obese. I’m considered a fat actress. I’m Val Kilmer in that one picture on the beach.”
However, she’s not about to give in to the pressure to be stick thin. “I’m never going to starve myself for a part. I don’t want little girls to be like, ‘Oh, I want to look like Katniss, so I’m going to skip dinner’ … I was trying to get my body to look fit and strong — not thin and underfed.”
