It’s one of the most beloved movies of all time, and “The Wizard of Oz” is back in the news thanks to a special auction.
According to a report, the blue and white gingham dress worn by Judy Garland back in 1939 has just been sold for a hefty sum.
On Saturday, Julien’s Auction House in Beverly Hills sold Dorothy’s dress for a whopping $480,000 to a very lucky (and wealthy) movie memorabilia collector.
Additionally, several other items were sold including one of Steve McQueen’s jackets, a dress worn by Julie Andrews in “The Sound of Music,” and John Belushi’s sunglasses and watch from “The Blues Brothers.”
