John Krasinski Drops By “Today”
He’s been a busy boy as of late, and this morning (December 3) John Krasinski paid a visit to the “Today” show in New York City.
The Jim Halpert actor chatted about his new project with Matt Damon (they wrote and starred in it) called “Promised Land,” (in theaters December 28) and the journey they endured to complete it all.
John began, "I just drove to his house every weekend (to write the script) -- he wins (when it comes to being pressed for time) by default with four little girls."
"We actually wrote with children climbing all over him, and he was doing bath time and dinner and everything, and we still got it done."
As for handling the writing, producing, and acting roles for the film, Krasinski noted, "I thought it was going to be fine. It was terrifying.”
Regarding his decision to follow his mother’s advice and stick it out in Tinseltown (he eventually landed ‘The Office’), John shared, "It's a little bit of an existential crisis after a while, because I wouldn't have met my wife (Emily Blunt), I wouldn't have been out in L.A.... Truly, when I say the show has given me everything, it's given me everything."
