"Jack Reacher" Pittsburgh Premiere Postponed Due to School Shooting
Out of respect for yesterday's horrific shooting at a Connecticut elementary school, the Pittsburgh premiere of "Jack Reacher" scheduled for Saturday night (December 15) has been postponed.
Paramount Pictures released a statement on the matter: "Due to the terrible tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut, and out of honor and respect for the families of the victims whose lives were senselessly taken, we are postponing tomorrow’s Pittsburgh premiere of 'Jack Reacher.' Our hearts go out to all those who lost loved ones.”
In the film, Tom Cruise plays the title character, a former military police officer who is recruited by an alleged sniper to help prove his innocence.
Though the action flick is scheduled to hit theaters on Friday, there's no word on when the planned event will take place.
