Giving a bright smile to waiting photographers, Alicia Keys shopped in SoHo in New York City on Wednesday (December 19).

The "Girl on Fire" singer looked cute in a black jacket, white scarf, and black-and-white boots, while carrying a large black handbag.

Recently, the 31-year-old soulful songstress signed on to bring the Broadway show "Stick Fly" to HBO.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alicia will co-executive produce the project, which follows Lydia R. Diamond's account of a troubled African-American family.
