Report: Melissa McCarthy to Star in "St. Vincent de Van Nuys"
Adding another role to her extensive film repertoire, Melissa McCarthy is reportedly being offered a leading part in the upcoming movie, "St. Vincent de Van Nuys."
According to Deadline, the "Bridesmaids" star would join Bill Murray in the comedy drama, directed by Ted Melfi.
The film follows a 12-year-old boy who moves next door to a misanthropic aging retiree, whose life mainly consists of gambling, hookers, and drinking. The elder (presumably played by Murray), becomes a mentor to the boy.
Though she has a few projects in the works, Ms. McCarthy's own co-written and directed comedy (starring herself), "Tammy," is set to hit theaters next year.
