Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad Promote Modern "Romeo and Juliet" on Broadway
Preparing to play two star-crossed lovers, Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad promoted their Broadway play, "Romeo and Juliet" in New York City on Wednesday (August 7).
The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star wore a gray sweater and black leather pants as he posed on a motorcycle with his lovely co-star, who wore a short floral-print dress and navy high-tops.
Though the show is a modern take on the Shakespeare classic, the 26-year-old actress assures, "We’re using all the classical text, but it’s not necessarily in a classical setting."
As for what audiences can expect, Condola shared, "The setting is still kind of being talked about, but it is contemporary. Not jeans-and-shorts contemporary, but more of an extraction." Opening night for "Romeo and Juliet" is on September 19th at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.
