British Police Reviewing New Information on Princess Diana's Death
She passed away nearly sixteen years ago, yet Princess Diana still lives on in the memories of the millions around the world who admired her.
On Saturday (August 17), Scotland Yard announced they are reviewing new information about the1997 death of the Princess of Wales and her companion Dodi Fayed.
Though they were careful to say they are not reopening the investigation, the British police are looking at the new information's "relevance and credibility."
The work will be carried out by officers from its specialist crime and operations unit, and no details were released on what the new info is and what caused the team to take a closer look.
Princess Diana and Mr. Fayed were killed in a Paris car crash in 1997. A British jury decided in 2008 that the couple were killed due to excessive speed of the car they were passengers in, their driver being drunk and the pursuit to escape the following paparazzi.
