AnnaSophia Robb Making Her Own Mark on Iconic Role of Carrie Bradshaw
AnnaSophia Robb was busy filming the second season of the CW’s “The Carrie Diaries” in New York City on Tuesday (September 10), stepping in front of the cameras in style. She seemed to be saying, “Eat your heart out, Sarah Jessica Parker.”
The show, of course, is a prequel to Parker’s “Sex and the City, and Robb plays Carrie Bradshaw as a twentysomething when she’s just starting out at a young writer. “Season two is already starting out to be a bit more risque, but it’s still a lot of fun,” the 19-year-old said recently.
The perky blonde is still relishing her recent win as the “Superstar of Tomorrow” at the 2013 Young Hollywood Awards, which celebrates the best emerging young talent in film, music and television.
And the actress is enjoying continued success on the big screen with the summer hit, “The Way, Way Back.” In it, she plays Susanna, a girl who pushes away her family and friends as she gravitates toward Duncan (Liam James), a shy teenager with low self-esteem.
