Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" Nabs the Star's First No. 1 Billboard Spot
Proving that she’s definitely a force to be reckoned with, Miley Cyrus nabbed a number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100.
The 20-year-old’s tune “Wrecking Ball” knocked Katy Perry's single “Roar” out of first place after it sat pretty there for two weeks.
This is Miley’s first number one spot on the Billboard chart. She came close back in 2009 after her hit “Party in the USA” landed in the number two spot. Cyrus’ new single “We Can’t Stop” also came in second place last month.
Other hits making their mark on the list include Katy’s tune coming in second place, while newcomer Lorde sits in the number three spot with her single “Royals.”
