Orlando Bloom & Condola Rashad: “Romeo & Juliet” Opening Night Fun!
Kicking off what will surely be a long and successful run, Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad knocked it out of the park during opening night of “Romeo & Juliet” on Broadway last night (September 19).
The “Pirates of the Caribbean” hunk and the “Smash” cutie took the stage at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City for the big performance, scoring rave reviews from the audience.
And though Shakespeare’s Romeo is actually a teenager in the story, Orly told press he hasn’t had any issues pulling off the role.
"It has been a joy. I'm not the youngest actor to play Romeo, or the oldest, but I really don't think I could have done justice to the role before now. There's so much more to the character that I've found having had more experience, even being a father. And of course, the play reaches everyone. Who doesn't want to see two kids experience that sheer ecstasy?"
