42nd NAACP Image Awards Nominees Announced

With award show season upon us, the NAACP held its 42nd Image Awards Nomination Announcement and Press Conference on Wednesday (January 12).

Held in Beverly Hills, actress Sanaa Lathan took the stage to help in announcing this year’s nominees.

Drumming up a whopping 19 nominations was Tyler Perry for his variety of movies and TV series.

Among the 19 bids, joining Perry’s "House of Payne" in the best comedy series category are "30 Rock," "Are We There Yet?" "Glee" and "Modern Family."

The awards will be handed out on March 4th on Fox, with a complete list of nominees below:
